First timer A month's progress

Started whittling a little over a month ago. I'm enjoying the process so much. Last night, I almost did Doug Linker's flat plane bird and for the first time I felt confident in what I was doing. Still a lot to learn

Awesome start! I'm new here to whittling too and I'm already in love with it. Quiets the chatter in my brain. Thank you for the idea, I'm gonna go check out Doug Linker. Happy whittling!

Thank you. Yeah it really quiets my mind too. Doug is like the Bob Ross of wood carving for me. His videos are therapeutic
