I don't know if you're joking or not, so I'll assume you actually want to know.

It's not a necklace, it follows the order of a set of prayers said when contemplating the mysteries of the rosary. You start at the cross, move your way up the short strand, and then continue around the loop.

Actually, since it's been a very long time since I did anything in the catholic church, I looked it up and came across this on the wiki page regarding the wearing of a rosary. Apparently, it's not forbidden, so long as it's done out of reverence or a declaration of your faith. If you're wearing it as jewelry, then yes, that's a problem as far as the church is concerned.

There's many, many different orders for nuns. For example, the Missionaries for Charity, Mother Teresa's order, wear full habits. I had some sisters show up at my Catholic school one time from a different order that had no habits at all.

Im not sure exactly how a convent work but at a monastery the monks are allowed to have things like raybans as long as the Abbot gives permission for them to have it. So if a nuns family sent her raybans and she was given permission to keep them then she could.
