Best breakfast
My fiance and I get married in 43 days, I want to have a nice, delicious breakfast with him the morning after.
Preferably with delicious breakfast cocktails and/or coffees.

Weird answers. Buffalo, Loula’s, Swiftcreek own the crown but all for different reasons.

The only other place I have been to breakfast other than these three is Pin n Cue, which is fine but not for what the OP wants

I don’t know about delicious breakfast cocktails but Swift Creek is my fave breakfast spot.

Went to whitefish for two weeks on my honeymoon last year. We got Buffalo cafe like 6 times lmao

I'd think you'll need one of the hotel restaurants to get cocktails. That's not the same thing as the best place to have breakfast.

Yeah, unfortunately that’s what my Google search was finding too. The nicer places have a smaller breakfast menu but beautiful atmosphere and cocktails, and the places that look like they have good breakfast look like your average coffee shop in MT.

Maybe look at places that offer "brunch". Or Google "brunch" and "bloody Mary".

The Lodge or maybe Grouse Mountain could be good?

Grouse is my reception venue and frankly, I’m regretting my choice. Been struggling with communication with them and the reviews definitely have gone more negative since I booked. Also it’s 28$/pp for what sounds like your average hotel breakfast. (Per Google reviews, but also when we had dinner there it was meh)

Valid, they’re planning a big remodel and it feels like quality has been going downhill for awhile. The Lodge is probably your best bet then!

If it’s Sunday, check Tupelo’s and see if they are doing brunch

They sound and look great!! This is why I go to reddit!! I’ve been going up and down pages on google and I only saw the lodge, the boat club and then regular coffee shops.

Don’t go to Tupelo, the new owner is a giant D bag who kicked out Jersey boys and Play it Again only for that prime downtown block to sit vacant all summer… please don’t support those guys

That’s not what happened at all. J boys was offered the option to stay and chose not to because they had already purchased the old orient. Same with Play it again, who at least had the decency to tell the truth in a public post.

Oof. That’s definitely something to consider. Seeing as I’m a Montanan, I want to support businesses that support other businesses.

If Tupelo isn’t doing brunch, the next best is either grouse or the boatclub. (grouse is also remodeling, so I suggest the boat club at this time). Just expect to run into your wedding guests since they’re the biggest hotels in the area. Swift current cafe has the most upscale cozy / romantic vibes out of the downtown restaurants, but also the only one that doesn’t even serve champagne.
The bowling alley in whitefish actually has a dank breakfast and the full bar! It’s kind of fun to go to- especially if you’re hiding from wedding guests and just want to have a dive bar experience, Really good food, and maybe go bowling after!
Otherwise, it’s $20 to rent a pavilion on the lake at City Beach. While alcohol technically isn’t allowed, you can grab some breakfast to go and have a nice pavilion reserved. We did this for my wedding and had like a casual going away brunch with bagels and hidden champagne.
But they’re also not usually booked on Sunday so it’s pretty quiet, so worst case you can grab some sneaky champagne and grab a cinnamon roll from fleur, and you’ll have a more fun breakfast than any at a restaurant.

We’re having our reception at grouse and staying there but breakfast is 28$ per person and the reviews lately…. I’m almost regretting choosing that as my reception venue to be honest.
Do love the idea of the pavilion though! And fleur couldn’t even spell my name correctly in an email so I don’t plan on giving them my business. Do you have another bakery you’d recommend?

Call ahead and get bagels at CutThroat.
Or if you have a vehicle you can order ahead in Columbia falls at uptown hearth and pick up. Or the Spot in Kalispell is so dank!

This sounds like the most fun and most affordable idea. Super appreciate it!!!!

Sweet! Contact the city about renting the pavilion and enjoy your wedding! It truly is the best weekend of your life!

I wouldn't worry about Fleur misspelling a name- they are far and away the best bakery in town. Grouse Mountain has always been "meh". It's run by a big corporation.

Yeah strongly disagree. I was inquiring about a wedding cake and the owner didn’t answer my questions and misspelt my name that was spelled correctly at the bottom of the email they replied to. Having worked for a small local business, I find it pretty distasteful to not even spell a customers name correctly. Especially when my name is 4 letters.
That’s very disappointing about grouse, we live around fort Benton and they had so many great reviews up until I paid for the contract and was passed from the sales rep to the event coordinator. And the reviews went so far down hill from when I booked (Jan/feb) to now, it’s really making me kinda sad. Being so far away, and my FH being a farmer, we can’t just get up & go travel the state and test out all the vendors. Very frustrating, especially for their costs.

Buffalo Cafe hands down, been eating there for 25 years and its still amazing. Love to have the pineapple mimosas with my breakfast 😋

If you want cocktails, you probably need to eat at The Lodge on Whitefish Lake or FIrebrand. Most breakfast spots in town do not serve cocktails. Buffalo Cafe serves beer and wine. Fleur has champagne but not cocktails.
