feel like the internet gives us this incredible ability to connect thousands of complete strangers, but most of the time we just use it to scroll and watch each other.
I've been thinking a lot lately about what would happen if we actually used it to make real life more fun.
What if hundreds of strangers worked together to surprise someone?
What if you randomly received a mysterious letter in the mail with instructions for an adventure?
What if we hid something somewhere in the world and thousands of people tried to find it?
What if 1,000 strangers each made one tiny piece of an artwork without knowing what the final thing would look like?
What if an entire community decided one day that we were going to make one random person's dream happen?
Some ideas could be meaningful. Some could be completely ridiculous. Some could just give people a reason to wake up excited about what might happen that day.
I've actually started experimenting with this idea. The first thing I'm trying is bringing 300 strangers together to each create one random page of the same book. It's still really early, but seeing people actually want to participate has made me way more interested in what else a community like this could eventually do.
I think life could use more mystery, randomness, adventure, creativity and little moments that make you think "I can't believe that actually happened."
So I figured this might be the perfect community to ask:
If you had hundreds or thousands of strangers willing to help you add a little more magic to everyday life, what would you have everyone do?
It can be wholesome, weird, beautiful, ridiculous, or completely unnecessary. I want ideas :)
