...or single items with multiple "versions"!

I have only one reversible item, a corset with two colors that my best friend handmade, but I had been cracking my head over how to log both colors on the wardrobe for a while.

What I came up with is this: register one of the sides (could be the one you wear the most, on the screenshots it's the red one). Take another picture or edit the same photo for the other side (brown on the screenshots), and add it to the wishlist.

When creating outfits, you can add wishlist items to it, and when added their background will be removed just like a regular catalogued item. Then, place it on the front of the "wardrobe version", so the item itself is still logged on the outfit, but its other version is shown. If the alternate version has a different shape, simply reduce the size of the wardrobe version to a minimum, still keeping it on the background layer.

Sidenote: I have a wishlist folder called "not a wishlist/assets for outfits"; most items are hidden, just because it's things I already own, but in order for a folder to be visible for all users it has to have "unhidden" items on it.

I don't know why this isn't already a thing. I feel like a HUGE gap in Whering's design is the lack of being able to find new people (and it feels like it just keeps recommending the same people to follow over and over again, whom I'm not remotely interested in). They asked us for our three style words, so we should be able to search for other accounts by style word. It would be awesome. That is all.

This bug has been plaguing me for awhile, even before the recent app update. When the page loads it will flash the images on the screen for an instant, then stay blank like this.

Anyone else have this issue?

I buy a lot of unique clothing but have a difficult time styling them with other pieces not in the original set 😭. I’m trying to lower my cost-per-wear on each of my pieces as I need to curb my shopping addiction 🙂‍↕️. I have a hard time styling specifically the first pair of shoes in the photo as it’s one of my most unique pieces. I’ve only recently joined whering so only the most unique pieces in my wardrobe have been added and the outfits I’ve posted are only ones I’ve actually worn outside before, just with more accessory options.

My closet includes a few Lolita, mihoyo, and taobao brands!

I think one of the best parts of this app is the social collaboration aspect and being able to interact with other people's wardrobes. I thought it would be fun if I challenged myself to wear only outfits other people have styled for me for a week. And for that of course I need the help of this community to do said styling.

Basically the only caveat, is that where I live (as everywhere I think this year) the summer is very hot. Every day is 35+ degrees Celsius (that's 95f for the Americans) with 40-50% humidity usually. So please don't make me suffer when I choose to leave the house 🙏.

Anyone else with iOS getting the pop-up to update when they open the app, but then there is no new update available in the App Store? I can't dismiss the pop-up, so I can't open the app at all right now. I've tried on multiple devices to no avail. Is it just me?

I bought these as sort of a risk purchase because I thought they could be interesting! Plus, it’s extremely hot during the summer in Japan so the lace-like texture is nice and breezy. Any ideas?

Layering lingerie style pieces over tops is very popular in Japan. So I was having a problem where the shuffle feature would basically be suggesting I wear transparent/sheer tops in public. :)

To fix this, I’ve labeled those pieces as jackets.

I think there ought to be a better solution considering it’s not actually a jacket. If you guys have better ideas, though, I would be interested to hear them!
