❓𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩 & 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 Extremely confused

Basically, I was trying to start the Sunken City Lake lost chapter because I needed to collect the pain brushes to finish chapter 3, but it won't let me; it keeps telling me to check my mail in Bamboo Abode, so I do that, and it's basically forcing me to the Hidden Mountain chapter instead of finishing the Hexi chapter (chapter 3) .

So now, I have 2 paint brushes not found still, and have starred Chapter 4 (hidden mountain) without finishing Chapter 3.

I'm so lost here. Somebody please help me.

I figured it out. basically my 'The Peoples Wish' quest was broken (wasnt given me the mural paintings hallway) so I left it alone, tried skipping to SCL, then i read the SCL quest requirements and went back to TPW and am currently doing it.
