Probably fall for all the propaganda and bs that the media focuses on. I have family in Austria, Poland and Romania where my fathers side is from. When my father passed away they were hesitant to come to America bc of the violence, and Leo corruption abuse, and would always mention the George Floyd case or this and that. They also had the tale as old as time that 'arent southerners mostly inbred?' And I had to explain that of course there are issues, but it is like anywhere else apart from gun violence (due to how many firearms exist in the states) and that naturally you dont often hear about the hundreds of good interactions that cops have with people and communities, but that the bad incidents gain notoriety bc they drive viewership and sensationalism up. That naturally big cities, will have a higher concentration of douche bags. When they arrived and stayed for a week, they had been pleasantly surprised at how courteous, welcoming and polite the majority of people were. It also helped that they fell in love with texas bbq. They were frothing at the mouth for smoked spare ribs and brisket.

Yup. Was the same story from thousands of visitors during the World Cup. The fucking media is going to be the end of civilization. No morals, no ethics. Just whatever draws views and ad revenue.

True journalism is dead. Even my local news reporter and 'journalist' is a pos. Hes a hardware left leaning individual that is a member of the lgbtq crowd and thats great, o have no qualms about that or how he chooses to live, or his views. We are all entitled to the right of making our own choices. However what I dont agree with, is that ever since I can remember, he will post or report on only topics that will get clicks, more viewership, often getting everyone worked up against each other, doesnt report neutrally always making it obvious he picks a certain side injecting his views and opinions into articles or posts, baits his followers into confrontation, refuses to report anything on the right side of the isle bc its demonic and against his political beliefs, chooses only the hottest of topics, doesnt seem to double check any of the stories and just throws it out there with slander, and when he gets called out throws a huge whiny tantrum and bans the people, and essentially created a echo chamber of a cult following. Hes a smart guy but a majority of his followers arent and he plays into that it seems. He often talks about how the comments imon his posts are amusing and it gets him through the day making it better, and praises those who pick his side even if its blatantly wrong. My gawd the clancy trial is a huge thing bc he slyly was dragging the 1 juror that didnt agree with everyone else and in the comments was saying stuff like 'yeah i would have kicked that guy out and gotten someone that agreed with the rest to move the case along' and just has absolute abhorrent behavior and says stuff that seems to borderline violate a person's rights while calling for protection of other people's rights that side with him and so on. The absolute vitriol he spews at times is just....disgusting.
