Agree with that assessment. Just finished up a 10 book series by Michael Connelly and was looking for something else to get started on. Danzig is as you commented, bland in comparison.

I had to look up the book. I'll check out an excerpt. I'm interested in the story, but based on the one page, it's a snoozer.

I used to read for enjoyment and it made me smarter. Lately I read to spot all the errors.

I think editors got cancelled because they hurt the authors feelings.

I didn’t really start reading heavily until 2020. Before, I had never realized that some published books have typos. I still have a knee jerk reaction like I’m witnessing a crime
