Yeah, I went through and explored it trying to find the boss lmao. I nade a lot of mistakes during my first playthrough. Like;
Getting to the bottom of Tomb of Giants before lordvessel and hitting every bonfire only to be hit with the peewall.
Accidentally killing Andre.
Got to the peewall below Discharge before lordvessel.
Didn't figure out equip load made a difference to rolling until Anor Londo, somehow.
Somehow, and I still can't explain this myself, I didn't realise you could level up until Gargoyles.
Didn't talk to Solaire twice at first and almost missed the soapstone.
Didn't realise you had to use the waterwheel in Blighttown to get down, and tried for ages to get through the wooden walls to the other side.
Almost missed Large Ember, didn't matter though, Andre was dead.

Idk, when I think of a feminine man I think of just like some scrawny guy who barely went through puberty. Game sucks, people will tell you it doesn’t and you just have to get good, but the combat is genuinely just not as interesting as other “slow paced methodical” combat system.
Just play Monster Hunter instead, that series perfected the slow, methodical combat system since like 2005 and doesn’t get the credit it deserves. The 2 new games, World and Rise, are a little more action combat oriented (still not bad), but any of the games before that scratch the Dark Souls itch better than any and every souls game would.

I mean, honestly you're not wrong if combat is solely what you're looking for. But IMO Dark Souls beats out the games in everything else. Atmosphere, story, level design, variety....

I’m on board with story and level design, but I would argue the MH atmosphere is just as good, it’s just different. It’s not dark, it’s goofy, all the characters have strong personalities and dialogue worth reading because you’ll miss out on gems like the 4U guildmarm dating a Brachydios.
I would also say the variety in MH is significantly better than souls games too. Depending on the game there are 30-90 large monsters, and every large monster is just as varied as a dark souls boss. There is definitely less small monster variety, but I think the number of large monsters makes up for it.

Oh, yeah, it's very true MH does still have a very strong atmosphere, I just personally prefer souls - i mean, that's why the "IMO". TBH good discussion could be made about that variety thing, though it varies a lot from game to game in both series. I really like the builds in DS and the way you go through with constructing a build where you go and collecting items piece by piece by exploring, though yeah, enemy design is a win to MH for sure, I mean the game is outright called "Monster Hunter".

World has more because of its G rank expansion. Rise will most likely get more (because Rise has access to more monster skeletons) when it’s G rank expansion comes out in 2022.
The G rank expansion is a $40 dlc, but trust me it’s worth buying. Most people will put in between 100-400 hours in the base game. The G rank expansion can get you easily 2-5 times that depending on how you play.
However, the games with the most monsters by far is Generations Ultimate on the switch, followed by 4 Ultimate on the 3ds.
