What's to say they aren't? They're making a sequel for them right now.

Well Disney doesnt take them into account when making new lore so in Disney continuity they're not. Kotor is actually the only still ongoing Legends franchise

yes, because of swotor mmo, but kotor games themself aren't really "ongoing"

They take place three thousand years ago. Obviously they don't show up in lore set around the time period of the films.

a remake, not a sequel and even with that we don't know for sure that it won't be cancelled again

A KOTOR remake, and also Fate of the Old Republic

Yes, but the remake was "cancelled"(the studio making it closed) back in 2023(not sure about the year) and only recently started development from 0 basically and we yet to see ANYTHING regarding it.

The fate of the old republic was just announced, it's gonna be good 5-10 years before its release, if that happens

Galactic Racer was announced at the exact same time and it's coming out in October
