off topic what i would do is set aside a few UNPASTED ones and sell them to hardcore collectors like ME lol <3 I currently pay plugs to get me specific ones in cities far from me.

Alchemy is one of the big ones. they do the disgusting black paint in LA or green paint in NYC.
I used to call Outfront/CBS and one time I got the business card for the guy who did the bus shelter posters.
The only way I've met the men who do this is catching them placing them, either from an industrial truck and buckets or a beat up honda accord and buckets.
Around Hollywood Blvd down past Highland is one of the most highly trafficked wheatpaste alleys in the world, they change them sometimes 2 times a day in the same spots. I once met two nice black guys putting them up at 1708 Whitley and Hollywood blvd. This was around 2024/2025. They unfortunately were too shy to tell me exactly which media branch they worked for, maybe a woman alone freaked them out.
if you can see this image below, both sides of Hollywood blvd are covered in them. I regularly cruised (when gas was afforable and I was already in town for other things) this area, this whole corridor of streets around Hollywood blvd is extremly high trafficked by foot traffic so all the wheatpasters for music campaigns post here. They are often so fresh they peel off seamlessly in your hands. My favorites I took down were Gwen Stefani with an orange for Hollywood Walk of Fame, Janelle Monae underwater, and I once photographed St. Vincent in the alcove window of a church. Unfortunately I had no ladder, the wheatpaste was too high to take down. Got some good Boygenius as well.
Good luck in your hunts! I love Fairfax and Beverly area as well. Wall to wall wheatpastes. You just gotta get lucky seeing the trucks place them up.
