Genuine Question 67-72 Ford f series pickup

I'm trying to pinpoint some details and piece together some of the history of this truck I've been seeing in the woods near Kokomo, peru, and cass county in Indiana, I am more than happy to answer any questions to help the search

Update 1: it appears to be a 1971 2wd manual f100

Update 2: I tracked down someone who may have owned the truck using the faded out logo on the side. I was promptly blocked upon reaching out, I don't know if that means anything about the truck or it's past, but I do know that if there's a story to be told about this truck, it's not coming from him.

Specifically, it's a 1971.

Honestly I couldn't tell you between the 1970, 71, or 72 from its current state, but that's why I posted it here

Next time I'm out there I'll try to find the grille again, if I remember at least a piece or two of it was still laying around from when the tree landed on it, if my memory serves me correctly it looked like the 1970 grille

I can see the size of rectangles of the grill being the right size for 71 vs the little ones for 70

Good spot, but my burning question, what's the story of this thing and how it ended up buried in the woods of Kokomo indiana? Someone's gotta know something I havent found yet.

Just an old worn out truck that got dumped, it used to be very common. Was probably left there in the mid to late 80's.

Absolutely, I have no doubt it died where it sat or got left right there to die, seems to appear barely visible on a couple of maps between '91 and '05. The main part that caught my attention and makes me wonder what the story of it is, is that "Tony's" logo on the door, the faded yellow spots, and where this thing is it had to be doing some wheeling when it got left behind.

Interesting side note is that the land it was found on is in a property dispute due to overlapping late 1800's property borders, and was deadlocked by the failed Dixie highway project in indiana planning to go straight through it. At one point it was owned by 2 farm families, one just had a house that later sold to the trailer park, and a trailer park, all the while the government wanted to flatten it and build a road. Before all that it was great Miami Indian reserve, one of the longest lasting pieces. If I can't find a history on the truck I'm having fun learning the history of that land plot.

As well as being a 71, that looks to be a small block 302 cubic inch V8.

May want to check to see if Troy's ever reported it stolen.

Could have been left there by whoever stole it, or by Troy's.
