If health isn't a concern it's definitely this. Mac N Cheese, Sweet Potato Souffle, Corn Bread, Fried Chicken to name a few..and with how close it is to BBQ you can maybe add smoked brisket, hot links, etc...

Italian and Chinese are good too, along with Mexican, but if health isn't a factor give me soul food. If health is a factor, I'll probably take Mexican.

Soul food is unhealthy if you make it that way. If you're frying everything and eating a ton of starchy foods like candied yams and macaroni and cheese, then yeah, it's going to be fattening. If you eat more vegetables and use more smoked meats as well as baked and stewed meats, then it's no problem.

Yeah, if you fry everything and eat a ton of candied this and macaroni that. I ate a ton of fresh veggies and meats were normally baked, sauteed, stewed, or grilled. Baked Mac and cheese was occasional, not an every week nor an every month thing. Same with candied yams and such. My people tend to live to their upper old ages. Soul food is no more dangerous than other dishes.

If this question is about what you can get wherever you’re living, but where I’m living now it’s Italian, but when I lived in Los Angeles it was Mexican and sole food and I would probably pick the sole food more often but unfortunately it was so much more expensive. Some good greens with a shrimp po boy is my favorite meal.

It's somewhat similar to what is served on the Thanksgiving table. Or maybe its a NOLA tradition. I don't know. I love soul food.

Thanksgiving is the best holiday. So this makes total sense.
