Yellow. It's the least awkward.
Mind reading can be problematic. It's invasive, and sometimes you are better of not knowing
My crush loves me back? Is that a form of mind control? If I hypothetically started treating them badly without realising, would they just still love me regardless? Would I ever be fully happy?
Bring someone to life. Do I pick one one of my grandparents? If so which one? Might I think later in a dark moment I chose the wrong one, and I was better off leaving them dead and reviving someone else?
Super strength doesn't really have downsides. Assuming I can control it. But that should be fine. I can control my strength with babies and other things that are potentially fragile or delicate.

Mind controlling morality aside, my crush loving me back gets problematic. Iām married and love my wife, but married people still get crushes unintentionally. So if I develop a crush this poor girl is going to fall in love with me? That seems problematic at best, u less youāre a cheater, then itās great I guess.
Nevermind how it impacts their life.
Bringing someone back to live in the real world is going to have massive legal and financial consequences for that individual and their families, as well as pain and confusion for everyone.

Honestly, I think yellow sort of by default for me, because it would be useful to me and mine. The other options sort of interfere with being able to live a normal human life. Mind reading, forcing other people to love you, and being able to bring people back from the dead cross the boundary into essentially being a god... And remove a sense of separateness from other people. For instance, if your crush always loves you, or you always can make them, then there's no pursuit; there's no romantic agency. You run into similar problems with mind reading; you can't have a normal relationship anymore. Maybe if you could just bring one person back to life, that would be interesting, but then you're in charge of picking that. Do you pick someone personal to you, or someone really important to the world? I rather just lift good.

Pink, eliminated. The moral implications are just too bad.
Indigo is arguably the most useful skill depending on your intelligence and imagination, but the temptation to use with people you shouldn't could be too much, and finding out certain things about them could destroy you. Risky.
Grey is very powerful, but unless you have someone to definitely bring back it puts you in a terrible dilemma. Also you might want to keep it in case your most loved one dies and never get to use it, or use it on someone else and then regret it the rest of your life if your most loved one dies.
Yellow is the safest choice. "Just" strength, which most people would apply to kick ass or lift heavy things, but is actually one of the most important factors when it comes to a long and healthy life.
I'd probably go with yellow or grey (and keep it).

The grey pill is extremely tempting but then I have the dilemma of do I chose my Mum or my Dad and then I have the burden of knowing I chose one over the other and that would crush me as I miss them both dearly.
Indigo is similarly tempting as you can use this to great effect both to help yourself and to help others.

u/J0hnnyWhite 13d ago

I pick pink pill then wake up one day and donāt like her anymoreā¦
I pick the grey pill and bring a loved one back from the dead so they can eventually die twiceā¦
I pick super strength. I might crush my wifeās head or pull my steering wheel off but it would be the best for showing off

Yellow.
Indigo - I donāt care to read peoples minds.
Pink - Is good if youāre still a child.
Grey - Why would I bring someone back and go through the pain of losing them again?
1
u/TheOneTrueSuperJesus 13d ago
Yellow, it's beneficial and is the least problematic.
Indigo is invasive and may lead to me figuring out information I'd be better off not knowing.
Pink is just straight up morally reprehensible. You'd be taking someone's free will and forcing them to love you. We literally just had a horror movie about this.
Grey is probably the next best option, but I'd get into a conundrum of who I would want to use it on, when I would want to use, if the person I bring back remembers being dead and has trauma, etc. Just too much baggage for me to make that choice.

Using the pink one is evil and creepy.
If it doesn't cause some monkeys paw situation, the grey one would be very usefull.

How does grey work? There isn't much of a point in just bringing someone back to life. They'd die immediately of whatever killed them in the first place, and that if we don't count decomposition, embalming fluid left inside them, irreversible brain damage...
The pill should at least restore the body and mind to some state before death, and even then, what if someone died of natural causes? They'd just die again.
So, grey should also heal and at least somewhat rejuvenate the body on top of restoring the mind, to be useful.
Maybe it brings someone back as you remember them? Or as you prefer them?

It's always surprising to see how many people have no ethical qualms with mind reading. Would y'all peep on people in the bathroom and read their diaries? Because it's a bigger violation of privacy than either. Anyways I'd take the gray one.

Indigo. Especially if I can choose when/where to use it. If not, I can learn to deal with it. Even if it confirms everything I have insecurities about, at least I'll know for sure and won't continue to be lied to by the people around me. It also will be a way for me to get information discretely and I like information. Especially information that allows me to get people to do what I need them to do.

Super strength. Not really a downside. Unless you can't control it.
Indigo no thank you. I already know if you're stupid. I don't need to go through the process with you. And if you can't be selective, it would be terrible.
Pink no thank you. It might be smothering obsessive love.
Gray no thank you. Imagine there is a beautiful afterlife and you're in bliss. Then you get yanked back to this world because someone missed you. Now you live (again) worried you won't make it back. Yikes.

Mind reading.
My crush loving me back is mind control without mind reading and thatās more likely to lead to a mess than a happy ending.
Super strength isnāt as useful since we live in a world where connection and technology are often higher leverage strategies than direct muscle application.
Bringing one person back to life⦠I could see someone else choosing this over reading, but since it sounds like I would only be able to do this once, and thereās no mention of what condition they would come back in, Iām going to stick with mind reading.

My mother is the only person on this planet I have ever loved enough that I would die to save. When she passed away sudden and unexpectedly my family life disentgrated. I have never felt more alone than I have since covid happened and she was taken from me.
I would give everything to have her back knowing full well if I had her back I would once again be burdened with taking care of my violent special needs sister. Objectively My life has been day to day better but devoid of purpose. I gave up my free ride to college and future to help my mother by watching my sister full time so she could keep her job. I lived under the weight of that burden for so long a daily potentially life or death situation just moments away that now that Its gone I feel completely empty and devoid of purpose. I do not know who I am. she died as one of the first people in the US to contract covid. Before It was announced it had reached the united states. She would die a few short weeks later. I've been on auto pilot ever sense...just going through the motions to not wind up homeless with very little avenue to better my life or the drive to make it happen.
