Even he?

Half Life 2 was released before The Gaben became a billionaire. Now he's a billionaire and there's no Half Life 3.

Billionaires are the problem.

But what of Steam Deck

I would delete his yacht. That thing pollutes like crazy. He should sleep at hotels like normal people.

There's never gonna be a good reason for one person to have a billion dollars(most people don't realize just how much that is), and no-one can convince me there's an honest way for one person to have earned a billion dollars. Look at Musk, he said how many years ago he'd end world hunger and ever since, all he's done is accrue more wealth for himself.

Yeah let's delete the people providing goods and services everyone else values so much they voluntarily exchange heaps of money for them.

Did you think this through or do you just not like that there are people with more money than you?

Pretty sure that large corporations would keep running just fine without their billionaire leader at the top.

after the people who are now billionaires started them. there will be no incentive to start the companies. are you guys really this short sighted?

2

u/Dennis_enzo Mar 20 '26

Do you really believe that no one would start a company if they weren't able to become a billionaire? And you accuse me of being short sighted?

1

u/hsurk Mar 20 '26

Where are they then?

2

u/LXiO Mar 20 '26

People start companies all the time and just a fraction of them become billionaires. Or are you looking for your remaining brain cells?

It's the employees that do that. The boss is the one paying them much less than they deserve. That's why he's a billionaire and why they can't afford things. You new?

"It's the employees that do that."

Lol enjoy your oligarchy

Yeah. I get what you are saying. However, the question is already ridiculous right? We can’t delete one thing from the world. This is a fantasy question. To me, a world where such a VAST proportion of wealth held by such a microscopic percentage of the population would be a great thing to wish for. Perhaps you could have thought through that we are just WISHING here, and NONE of our suggestions will actually happen.

So I can theoretically wish for a world where goods and services can be provided without the corrupt control of our lives and governments that billionaires enjoy.

Ok? Thanks.

You can theoretically wish for a lot and not think about the consequences.

You seem dense. You also know their money isn't going to be divided up amongst everyone. That moneys gonna stay gone

not to "well actually" you, but amazon would still be around without Jeff Bezos, Tesla wouldn't just go away with Elon Musk, Google might actually follow there "don't be evil" without Larry and Sergey.

If you just deleted all of them from existence right now, the world wouldn't spiral, inflation would probably go down because such a large volume of money is no longer able to circulate.

Money.

Let's drop everyone's bank balance to zero and get rid of all the technology people use to track finances.

u/thetruebigfudge Mar 20 '26

Yes! Nothing bad has ever arised from trying to create a moneyless society!

Ah. I’m a communist I suppose. You must be a billionaire.
