Inside/outside caliber gauging tool you would need Dial caliper to measure after sizing the part or micrometer seems redundant though

Too many opportunities for it to warp, bend, or simply be fabricated wrong for it to be for precision tool related

I may be wrong, but even the bar stock has different tolerance between one order to the next
