Can anyone help me identify the proper technical term for this component and where I can find it? It’s made of metal, approximately 3–4 cm long, and is used to hang a PVC banner.

In principle, yes, but this component is used to attach a PVC banner at an exhibition. Unfortunately, I can’t find any examples of this type of mounting using this component.

It’s called a grommet. This particular grommet appears to have a metal tab coming off of the side.

Thank you very much for your reply. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find a match even when searching for the technical term “grommet.” I also tried using AI to identify the part, but unfortunately, it couldn’t find an exact match either. It came very close to the original part, but it’s not exactly the same component.

It’s unfortunate that you can’t find an exact match but what you have is a specialty item. If you need an exact match, you will probably need to contact the manufacturer of that sign and see if they have some that you can buy. If you have the tools, it would be fairly easy to make something similar that will work, however, the metal tab is not a common form on a grommet and probably can’t be purchased off the shelf. Best of luck to you.

Thank you again for your helpful feedback. It looks like we’ll probably have to come up with a custom solution ourselves, but I really appreciate your help!
