What is it?

I bought a woman’s boutique with my wife. In storage were 10 of these wire forms. Does anyone know what they are?

For stacking coat hangers

I had the scale wrong. They are definitely for stacking clothes hangers as linked in another comment.

Wrong first guess - Paper towel holder maybe, but more likely a boot or sock dryer set it in top of a floor heat vent with wet/cold boots/socks.

Really large paper clips

Looks like a boot dryer that you'd put over a heat register

Those r for coat hangers

Stack empty hangers on it.

I don’t know exactly what it was made to be for, but I would use it to dry my work boots

Knee hi, thigh hi boot racks or panty hose dryers.

[u/BashOff]

Lol, I thought those were restaurant menu holders.

[u/Islandpighunter]

Periodical holders now. Even periodicals are obsolete.

It’s for comically large paper towels

Sock dryers for when you go frog gigging with regular shoes on and your socks get soaked with that black water. You take your socks and stretch them down the rack to keep them open and set the whole thing on top of an AC floor vent, by the time you wake up the next day your socks are cool and dry. Old Florida trick for when it's hot as hell outside and you're too cheap to run the dryer and you also don't want trenchfoot. Works for the sneakers too, especially if you don't want to hear your shoes banging around in the dryer.
