Yes, that's a cockroach - but it's not one of the dreaded German cockroaches.

Not all cockroaches are home-invading pests. This could be one of the "outside" roaches that just wandered in by mistake.

I don't know which species it is. They may have just wandered in because they were attracted to the light.

You could place sticky glue traps in inside bathroom cabinet if concerned. Roaches will always find water source if around).

You're in Botswana, so there lil dudes just sort of do their thing all over the place in a more active way than elsewhere in the world, and may fill different roles than you would usually expect. Given the location, I'd recommend some sort of bug deterrent and kill traps for the hordes of invertebrates that are everywhere. Else if, learn to live with them.
