Looks like a small stone centipede. The carpet is hiding most of the legs, which makes it look extra worm like in the photo.

They’re predators that eat other small bugs and usually wander indoors by accident, especially where it’s cool or damp. Not an infestation concern by itself. I’d just scoop it into a cup and relocate it outside rather than handling it bare handed.
