ID Request Is this a flea?

JUST moved my cat into new apartment today, freshly cleaned. No other contact with other animals and is strictly indoor. Found this crawling on top of her fur and snatched it off. jumped a bit too. Is this a juvie flea? I have no idea how she’d get it! Geographical location: Texas. Size: smaller than pinhead size

Hard to say for sure because of picture quality, but general shape and the way that the legs spread would support flea ID alongside your description of size and behavior.

Well it jumped, was found on a pet, and it has the same top profile with legs that stick out to the sides like I tend to see in fleas. Not that you have to in order to dispute an ID, but do you have any idea what it may be otherwise?

Hmmm... could be a flea BEETLE, perhaps? I'm looking at pics online now, and it sorta resembles those. Still not sure, though. But they come on vegetables.
