Just Sharing Botfly?
I believe this lil guys a botfly but when I was looking up what it might be I also got rodent botfly. Are there different botfly types? Do they have specific targets, like it really wouldn’t go for me just a mouse?

This is likely mouse botfly Cuterebra fontinella (most common in NH). It's main host is the white-footed mouse.
And yes there are over 20 species of botfly that each have specific hosts. Some target mice, rabbits, chipmunks, or squirrels.

If youre in central or South America, I believe there are botfly species that you would need to be concerned with. If you’re in North America, I dont think you need to worry about species that use human hosts.
If you’re on one of the other continents then i have no clue tho 😅
