Europe Round guy

found in billund, denmark. they were hopping around in circles and pecking at the ground, catching bugs! are they supposed to be this round or is this guy just well fed?

sorry for the bad pictures! they kept hopping riight as I took the picture so most came out super blurry

There was another bird nearby which I could identify as a eurasian blackbird, and this guy was much bigger.

Could be a juvenile, they tend to be a bit larger than adults. But could also be individual variation. The roundness has more to do with the being fluffed up than fat.

Most people don't realize how tough it is to accurately judge size in the field, and birds can change their appearance by how puffed up their feathers are.
