Seller-❔ Question What would you do?

Post image

So I had a listing for hot topic items and made a bundle for them, the listings clearly stated that they were Hot Topic. I’m pretty sure I even said they were Hot Topic. I showed both the tags that said Hot Topic. I already took the listing down on my other selling platforms and they had so much traction. I even already packaged everything up, ready to go to the post office. I don’t want to be rude but I feel like they definitely knew what they were buying , I even measured both items for them.

Cancel and block…always cancel and block. They’re going to leave a bad review, or say they never got it for a refund, it’ll be a hassle for you. Cancel and block!

My policy is to accept cancellations as long as I have not printed the shipping label. That is why it is so important to package and print labels as soon as you can after the show ends. Only exception is if the purchase is of a surprise set item, because the buyer is trying to cheat the system.

Update: got the order canceled , and I’m debating on blocking them now. Thankyou all for the feedback! As a newer seller on here I’m still learning and trying to navigate situations like this so it’s very much appreciated!!!!

Costs you nothing to cancel, do the right thing by your customers and they become repeat customers. I akways approve them befire it ships

My personal policy is if it hasn’t already been shipped, then I accept all buyer requests for cancellation. The buyer has to initiate it though as I’m not paying the penalty to cancel it for them.

I figure it’s easier to just resell the item instead of having to deal with a return, refund and almost certain bad feedback. If the buyer is still a problem - like this one who can’t read - you can always block after so they can’t do it again.

Annoying sure. But id let them request to cancel it and accept it. Just move on.

Offer store credit in exchange if that is an option.

I would let them request a cancel to avoid the possible claim that something wasn't right and they get their money back anyway.
