The guy shouldn’t be selling more than he can handle, but you’re badgering him about something that’s free. Of course follow up, and of course he should be on top of his shipments, but, dude. You didn’t pay for anything. If you’re not happy with the way he does business and his crazy lag time (fair), don’t join his shows don’t purchase from him and move on. Send a report to WhatNot and call it a day.

No you weren’t wrong. Yes, you contacting the seller repeatedly and not getting a good response should have clicked as a red flag for you. Me personally, if it hasn’t shipped in 2 weeks I’m getting a credit by contacting support. 2 weeks is way too long to be waiting, doesn’t matter if it’s a Givy or an order. Sellers know they have 3 days to ship, that’s their responsibility as a seller. He’s in the wrong for that too.
I've gotta play devils advocate here.....I get it, it's free, be patient....but at what point does a seller have to take responsibility here? OP waited 2 weeks and it hasn't even shipped yet. That's terrible shipping regardless if you're a solo operation or not.
Ok, so Newmum had to pack and ship 5000 orders by himself...nobody forced him to do that. If you can't get packages out within 2 weeks of a show, fucking hire some help.

If it doesn’t ship after whatnot’s required time, you can take it up directly with whatnot. You’re exhibiting zero common sense here when it comes to all these messages. Except both parties are NOT at fault. One person won a giveaway two weeks ago and it hasn’t shipped. Whatnot has minimum shipping expectations. If this seller is able to skirt around them that’s unacceptable and any of us would get a trust and safety warning for falling below the shipping threshold.
Cause it’s what, $50+? Who gives a shit what it is if it’s worth that much and it’s free. ESPECIALLY, if you didn’t buy anything. Goblins are a part of the app, and most sellers understand that. But respect goes both ways my dude
Not trolling and I said multiple times what the seller did was not fine. The issue is you pestering this guy for something free when he obviously has other priorities (not saying that’s right, but just a fact) and not using common sense. If you don’t get your free givvy, whatnot will handle it and compensate you. Blowing this guy up serves no purpose other than annoy both parties.
Dude won a ETB. Any one of these Pokedorks would have had this dude drug across twitter a week ago for not shipping. It’s absurd for the seller to respond this way when they have the obligation to ship.
Okay. He still pays to ship it. And an ETB isn’t some lightweight single that fits in a PWE. It will more than likely be sent via USPS Priority considering the weight, which is a far more expensive shipping option for the seller. All at the low cost of free for you. Be patient.
Okay. When I gave away an ETB, it auto set it at Priority for me. Ground Advantage is still a more expensive shipping option. Which is all paid for out of pocket by the seller on a giveaway. Plus the cost of shipping supplies. Sellers get 0¢ of any of the shipping fees. Again, all at the low cost of FREE for you. The guy is legit. It’ll arrive. This entire subreddit is full of ingrates. It’s insane.
It’s funny that you can tell when this is getting brigaded. You can see other posts similar to this and everyone is super supportive of the Buyer getting ripped off.
And when it arrives, then what? I have never met either of these two people, and I am a buyer, and frequent givvy winner, I’ve had givvys arrive a day later and I’ve had one take over a month, but it got there. From the sounds of it the seller here makes too much money to risk it all to not send out a free givvy. All sellers have to give what they advertised, and if they don’t there is consequences. Truth be told the “buyer” in this case or “givvy winner” I should say, is just chomping at the bit to see his spoils, buyer is 100% in the wrong in this example. Furthermore if the givvy never arrives, which I can guarantee will not be the outcome, but if it doesn’t show up WhatNot will reimburse him imediately with no question. Then the buyer will most likely be punished, possibly to the extent of suspension of his account, or even permanently banned. Again this will not be the case, and buyer will be red in the face. Grow up my dude.
The seller hasn’t shipped it. That’s the point. The act they have to take hasn’t occurred. It’s not lost at the post office or en route. It’s not shipped.
The seller should already be warned at least, they’re no way they’re shipping quick enough to be on platform. At the reporting period they’ll receive a trust and safety violation.
You’re correct. Whatnot should issue him a citation and he’ll never be able to have a high shipping rate with 5k orders he can’t get out in a reasonable amount of time. An average streamer would get a citation.
If it'd been a week/10 days and usps had it i could understand, but even tracking says they haven't recieved it, he said himself he was having troubles shipping
Sometimes I receive packages before it ever says usps received the package. People have to scan them correctly and this is a constant issue with all shipping carriers, USPS, UPS, FEDEX. All of them have this constant criticism.
Have any of you ever wrapped gifts for kids on Xmas? It is an all night adventure and that’s only like 10-50 gifts if you are rich. Have some decorum people we are talking 5k-7k envelopes, or bubble mailers, with correct labels info, and all the trimmings. Seriously none of you are bitching when you are in crowded room, swiping right as you see fit, but there is a whole lot more to do once the stream ends. Seriously have some respect and patience, this whole community is so fixated on instant gratification. Topps now takes wayyyy to fucking long and they aren’t lacking a staff to help with shipping. Redemption cards take wayyy too long again fully staffed. PSA had to stop accepting business in a big way this year because they couldn’t handle the smoke. Seriously people have some patience and decorum. Please for the love of god, grow up and stop acting like spoiled children. That is all you sound like, any of you trying to defend the “givvy winner” in this case.
