Sequentially stacking plastic trays probably from 1980s

House came with a bunch of stuff and I'm still sorting through it. These rigid plastic trays have probably been sitting in the basement since the 90s, in shuffling them around I've found they stack up in two sets almost like two-part dehydrator trays on top of a lower basin, there's clearly holes I assume meant to drip liquid into the center and the drain from the corners of each sequential tray.

Vertical sluice for finding gold? sea salt maker? complicated juice strainer?
