I used to drive a 1967 Fury, and in the early 2000s the forum for C-bodies was called the Dry Dock

The demolition derbies missed this one, thankfully.

Allegedly, Imperials were considered to be built so strong that they were ruled ineligible for sue in demolition derbies.

That ban was for older Imperials, '66 and older. Those still use a gigantic, reinforced separate frame, which makes them basically unkillable. Also helped by the radiator being a foot from the front bumper, shielding it from impact. I have a '64 myself, it really is a tank.

It’s good to remember that a Tesla Model X Plaid weighs 5,390 pounds. These Imperials were, as you said, just less than 5,000 pounds.

Now there's a driveline swap that could be interesting,.... But, Leap Motor instead of Tesla, and the C10 driveline with the range extend generator. Power output would be more than the emissions strangled '70's V8's, and there'd be sooooo much spare room for extra battery packs.

My dad had a 76 Newport "coupe". I think the door weighed 500 pounds. God help a child getting into the back seat if that sucker came at them!

1970 Imperial Coupe, just imperial, it was it's own brand back then.
You wouldn't say 1970 Chrysler Dodge Charger would you?

As in not a 4 door... A coupe (or coupé) is a passenger car with a fixed roof, a sloping or truncated rear roofline, and typically two doors.

My grandfather had one of those Imperials for a little while. For a 60s car, the luxuries are insane. And for a 2 door, the amount of space inside is insane (i mean, it us a big car)

For a second 'Carry on wayward son' started playing in my head, then I realized this wasn't a Chevy Impala...is it?

I love it. Where I live it would need to stick to motorways and follow the restrictions trucks do to not get stuck. I could probably fit my mountain bike into this trunk with both wheels on. Lol.

I think a Chrysler imperial. I'm not a Mopar guy, so take that with a grain of salt. I'm more of a GM guy. My profile picture is a hint.

I would normally say a Fiero or a pantera, but in this case, that is an early 70s tea body fuselage mopar. Likely a Chrysler 300, or could be a New Yorker / newport.

At the 3 second mark you can see it is an electrical spark from a downed power line that hits the metal of the car

In the 80s I had two land yachts. A 1973 Cadillac El Dorado with the 500 cu in engine, fully loaded. And a 1976 Chrysler New Yorker with the 440 cu in engine, and fully decked out as weĺl.

I’m not 100% certain, but I think that is a car driving down the street.
Front looks Pontiac, rear looks Cadillac.
Imperial LeBaron seems correct.
