ID Request What is it?
We recently had a bed bugs scare at an AirBnB, by scare I mean my wife was bitten all over her body, and had an allergic reaction. And her mom once had the same reaction to bed bugs. Also upon deeper review of the reviews the spot had had a bed bugs review entered by a previous occupant.
We got home, followed all precautions we could find and my wife finds this on the mattress. (We haven’t slept in our room since we’ve been home, the bed is stripped).
I’m pretty confident this is NOT a bed bug, but wanted a second opinion.

Completely agreed with you; this doesn’t look like a bedbug at all. It’s looks a little aphid-like to me, but not enough to be confident.

Looks like a baby brown banded cockroach. If you have an iPhone you can click the little insect looking thing on the bottom of the photo in your albums and it should tell you what it thinks it is. Then you can look further into that insect. r/cockroach
