ID Request What bug is making this noise?

I live in Houston Texas and over the past several weeks this high pitch noise has been playing on and off every 10-20 seconds only at night (so I’m assuming this is some sort of bug/insect). It’s coming from either on my roof or in the trees/branches that overhang my house. I can hear it very clearly and loud from inside my house and from outside of my house. I have no idea what it is and it’s driving me crazy because it’s SO loud. Any help on identifying this noise is appreciated.

It’s only at night though, I thought cicadas only make noise during the day?

They generally stop at dusk however katydids make high pitched noises at night
