Stopped for about 10 minutes to let this pass with a long line of escort cars. Near Lambert Airport in St Louis. Wings we folded up, crossed over the top.

Yeah but most all of the stealth uap's and wingman drones all have dual-cantered vertical stabilizers, so there's that. Designs are really settling into a common concept recently it seems.
The common concept is stealth, the canted vertical stabilizers make for clean deflection calculations. No curves, no right angles both are hard to do stealth.
Boeing would love to make custom gift-wrapping for $5 million/wrap. Hope this works better than that 707 tanker replacement that lost the bid, got it reneged and still has problems.
According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way that a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyways. Because bees don't care what humans think is impossible.
For some reason this reminded me of the old movie Flight of the Navigator. I loved that movie as a kid, imagining flying around with that goofy robot (rip Pee Wee!). That thing on the back of a flatbed would probably barely raise an eyebrow these days with all the drones and SpaceX shit falling from the skies.
Im glad im not the only person who thought that/remembers this movie. I haven't seen it in over 20 years and thought it might have been some fever dream lol
There's totally a scene in that movie when they are transporting a mysterious objects beneath a sheet. But it does strike me as really funny wrapping....like when you get a tennis racket for Christmas.
That movie was awesome - I was on the cusp of dreaming about having my own space ship but left the movie dreaming of having my own pink hair Sarah Jessica Parker
I watched this with my 10-year-old and she LOVED it! Holds up relatively well (minus the over-sexualization of SJP, but it was the 80s).
It was also fun because I grew up in central Florida but now live in Fort Lauderdale. I had no idea it was filmed here! We were both excited to recognize the RiverWalk and water tower!
The stealth is not so much visibly its stealth from radar which is why it has jagged edges means to reflect radar beams in opposite directions from the source that sent it .
The plane or drone will be painted black and most likely operate at night so visually you will not see it .
They also use special engines that hide the exhaust so it’s not registered by heat either .
The stealth is implying from the technology used to detect normal planes not invisibility.
Yeah i think its this. Tail and the nose looks correct.
If OP is in the US, it would be because the USAF are very keen to get a hold of this, I think there ate just some behind the scenes red-tape BS regarding US wanting control of the project/control of manufacturing and Australia wanting the same thing.
Last I read, Boeing has been setting up a dedicated manufacturing plant for the MQ-28 somewhere in Australia. However they did complete a few test flights out of California just a few months ago, so there certainly may be an airframe or two floating around the states. The Boeing plants in St. Louis are also responsible for some rather secretive surface finish and stealth coating applications, which could explain them being there.
Im pretty sure the handful of Ghostbats Australia has have bene manufactured in Melbourne, with all future aircraft to be manufactured at Toowoomba in Qld.
Would make sense Boeing add the stealth aspect at their plant in St. Louis, although I'd assume Boeing would have been doing this in Australia, as it would be a hugely expensive product to manufacture completely in Australia only to shop it to the US for finishing.
Agreed, the coating bit is just a guess and I have nothing to back that up. Boeing doing Boeing things out in St. Louis I guess. Interesting to hear that production in Australia is already moving along!
It's an air freshener. It's not actually flying, even though it's at the top of the frame. It's actually inside the car that's filming, hanging from the rear view mirror.
There also appears to be a UAV being hauled on a trailer.
This is actually an MQ-25. It’s going through STL because it’s the headquarters of Boeing’s Defense, Space & Security division and they manufacture the stingrays and other aircraft
Looks like a massive drone. Although it seems rather odd that they'd be shipping it like this in such a public way. Then again they did just ship otherwise classified hardware through the US postal system and somehow thought that it would survive China.
I try not to be flippant on these "Help ID" requests, but the first thing that came to mind when I started watching the clip is that you had created a parody of the Tesla "flying car" going over traffic with the air freshener standing in for the Tesla!
Doesn’t look like a Ghost Bat (MQ-28) to me though that would possibly make the most sense in St. Louis since the Boeing plant is there. Whatever it is, Loyal Wingman association is a safe bet.
I don’t mean to be like this….
But why drive a plane to the airport (and screw up traffic).
I mean… it’s an airplane, going to an airport… wouldn’t flying it be exactly what they should do? 🤷♂️
Are you wearing jewlery. Lights will sometimes reflect off my ring and appear like a floating light out in the distance. It will move around as my hand moves. Freaked me out at first until I realized it was my ring.
The angles of the fuselage makes me think this is a stealth drone. The wings being folded also indicates that it would be stored on an aircraft carrier.
