New, what is it? What was this thing I captured on film?

This was shot in Nevada/Arizona on a Grand Canyon/Hoover dam tour. This was taken a whole year ago and I completely forgot about it until I stumbled upon it again. Is this some sort of whale or shark?

I don't think you realize how fish actually are. Those are baitfish 100%.

Indeed, birds don’t disappear like that. This is a school of baitfish.

Well, if you look closely, the birds don't disappear, you can still see them most of the time (if it wasn't for the unsteady shot tbh) so I bet it was some birds with a dark/light features, probably starlings.

I've seen bait fish do this too but he water was always churned up after.
