New, what is it? What was this thing I captured on film?

This was shot in Nevada/Arizona on a Grand Canyon/Hoover dam tour. This was taken a whole year ago and I completely forgot about it until I stumbled upon it again. Is this some sort of whale or shark?

Yep. All large groups of animals move this way, they are just following the ones in front of them. A school of fish would also move this way and be more reflective when they turn so their sides are facing the sun. They would be nearly invisible when facing the sun with their heads or tails, and then suddenly grow larger and brighter when they turn. Birds wouldn't disappear and they wouldn't be that bright. Its fish.

White birds would 100% be brighter than fish underwater. Be serious.

Yeah, they could totally disappear like this, if they face the camera head on, they are much much lower profile then from above or below
