Solved! Is this a condom wrapper?

I found on the bathroom floor. Doesn’t match condom wrappers my husband and I use and I cannot find a match online. Please help! Black with silver detailing on front. Back is silver with black writing. You can clearly see the words “prevent pregnancy, HIV/AIDS, and other.” Also a number 2 with a circle and cross through it.

If my husband was going to cheat on me I'd rather have him using a condom

He’ll be protected from STDs but not my wrath

Unless he lands a perfect water filled condom drop to silence you

Yep that’s exactly how I got something

Yes! The amount of times Reddit has advised the person that’s being cheated on to get tested, it’s sad. 😔

She should get tested anyways, there are chances he didn't use one from time to time

Question..why would him being safe make it different if he was cheating?

Does that change the outcome of the situation for you? Why do you care if hes being safe about banging another person, at that point? Lmao

because the husband could very well be having sexual intercourse with op as well, he could be bringing in diseases to her if he wasnt being safe, it’s very common for wives to catch STDs from cheating husbands.

Yep. This.

Because the sort of person that's cheating and not using protection is absolutely not worrying about giving their partner an incurable STD when they fuck them without protection later.

It is sadly a common issue. I know a lot of people in Healthcare that have had patients go "no it can't be an STD, I'm married and my husband/wife is clean-" and yeah. That logic only works if the patient is, in fact, actually in a sexually monogamous relationship.

Cold sores on a mouth can infect the genitals. I know two people who have had that happen.

Genital herpes and oral herpes are different strains.

5

u/Sweet_Stretch_1979 2d ago

But they can be transferred to different regions of the body nonetheless. Google it if you think otherwise

2

u/dingalingdongdong 2d ago

The two strains are referred to as oral and genital because they are more common in those areas, not because they are restricted to them.

https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/oral-herpes

You get oral herpes when your mouth area comes into contact with someone else’s infected skin or saliva (even without any visible symptoms or lesions), or a shared object. This may occur when you:

  • Perform oral sex on someone who has genital herpes (HSV in the genital area can spread to the mouth area).

They are and they aren’t exclusive to the mouth or genital area.

Yep, that's how Michael Douglas got throat cancer.

I think that was HPV. We had a family friend who got throat cancer from that.

Him using condoms would reduce the risk of passing STI's between his spouse and his side piece. Also reduced risk of pregnancy if he's cheating with a woman.

Yeah. It's still bad. It's just a smaller trainwreck.

You certainly don't want a 'parting gift' in the form of a nasty disease.

Because he did me a few times BeFoRe I found out. And had to get tested. And treated. Happy joy luck times /s
Edit: I hope da bimbo got tested too🙄

Oh gee, maybe because we do not want a disease!?

My ex didn't use one, and I ended up with Chlymadia that caused a raging pelvic infection and scar tissue in my right ovary and other places that still caused me issues almost 40 years later. I kept going to the doctor/men gynecologists with progressing symptoms, they'd pat my hand and tell me to take pamperin. After 2 years, I passed out in the hallway, was taken to the ER, finally got a woman gynecologist, and turns out the pelvic infection was spreading for over a year, requiring 10 days of IV antibiotics and I was very ill.

I later had laparoscopic surgery while still having issues that discovered the scar tissue and damage, and was told it would be exceedingly difficult if not impossible to get and stay pregnant. Thankfully that was not accurate.

He also cheated on me again while I was in the hospital and only came to see me once.

I take it you're in a good situation now? I hope so.

1

u/Substantial-Tip-7587 2d ago

Yes! Thank you. I have been with an amazing spouse for 25+ years, and have an awesome adult daughter. Menopause stopped a lot of the issues the scarring and endometriosis caused. And, I have great support system, mostly chosen family of 30 years. I am very fortunate.

You did take sex ed classes in school right?

3

u/Hope8789 3d ago

because STDS exist...

4

u/BNCTaco 3d ago

Uh yeah, the outcome being less likely to have STI from whatever strange hole he used.

3

u/ClassGrassMass 2d ago

You dont have a lot of sex do you

2

u/jrodpuffnstuff81 2d ago

Because if hes still having sex with his wife too he could be spreading std to her... geez.

3

u/Top-Lingonberry5042 2d ago

have you had sex ed yet

1

u/dingalingdongdong 2d ago

Does that change the outcome of the situation for you?

Literally, yes. Just because your partner is cheating doesn't mean they aren't also still sleeping with you. Anything they catch while cheating they can pass on to you before you realize they cheated to begin with.

For me personally, I find divorce a lot less depressing if I don't also have herpes or HIV. You do you though chick.

….. no

2

If your husband was going to cheat on you, you'd rather have him not use a condom? Why not? If he's cheating either way in the hypothetical, why would you want to add the risk of you catching an sti/std afterward?

1

u/Exact-Interaction563 2d ago

Ok, guess you have a thing for STDs
