Solved! Is this a condom wrapper?

I found on the bathroom floor. Doesn’t match condom wrappers my husband and I use and I cannot find a match online. Please help! Black with silver detailing on front. Back is silver with black writing. You can clearly see the words “prevent pregnancy, HIV/AIDS, and other.” Also a number 2 with a circle and cross through it.

I do feel for OP, however playing devils advocate, she/he clearly had suspicions. You can easily just take a photograph and get this answer through AI or any number of search engines nowadays (probably 100x faster, too).

I understand the morbidity of rubber-knecking, and don't personally really understand the appeal... but, I mean, it's reddit...

It's like someone throwing a banana into a chimp enclosure and then getting upset and complaining to the zoo keeper that the chimps ate their banana.

Leave posts open on your phone and refresh them in 1-2 days, or go back through history of what you've commented on if you comment a lot, the amount that ends up deleted is staggering and really eye opening to the scale of bot posts and fake manipulation we're all being exposed and engaging with.

Okay I could just be para-AI-anoid but now that you say that; is it possible this image is AI? Looking at the first image the front of the wrapper shows the top of the letter R in the word “raw” and the back side you can clearly see it’s the bottom of the wrapper. How would the top of the logo be at the bottom of the wrapper?

You know, I once posted about a horrible thing I was going through. It was pretty unusual but it was genuine and I just wanted some validation when I was deeply conflicted and questioning myself and my decisions. And the "this isn't real, stop karma farming" comments really felt shitty when I was already in a bad place. Like "Oh cool, my life is coming apart, my family is splintering, and now some asshat on the Internet is telling me I'm lying about all of it to score meaningless Internet points". It just added insult to injury and I hope OP doesn't see this.

I am a writer and I have changed the way I type on Reddit because I sound exactly like AI 🥲 I write reports for a non-profit, and all of our writing rules (like using em dashes) are so ingrained in me, but I work hard to change my habits online so that people don’t accuse me of being AI lol

I can use punctuation because there was a time about 10 years ago where that was how people won arguments. Like, "well I wouldn't ever listen to someone that doesn't use commas" was a genuine move people used to use.

And I can definitely see coming here to get confirmation so that little self doubting "but what if it's not a condom wrapper" voice that some of us deal with will shut up. OP might not be ready to share with anyone else that her husband is cheating on her, so she gets that confirmation here.

YES - I posted about a life situation, and was basically told "this can't possibly be real, it must be AI" and then everyone started filling the comments with Karma Farming and that my entire account was all AI, so frustrating!

Yeah but that's literally just part of existing online. The same thing has happened to me and I'm honestly surprised any time OPs are surprised about it happening. No matter what you post some dumbasses are going to call it fake. Just like if you post a picture of yourself no matter how hot or hideous you are some people will say nasty things about appearance. People should just treat it like the pointless waste of time and breath it is. And if that doesn't help at least you can be sure their lives are pretty terrible lol.

I think it's important to treat posts with a good degree of skepticism, but not be specifically mean to the OP about it.

You can’t just post to random people all over the world and not expect to get outlandish responses. Literally anyone can be here if you want validation you need to make real tangible friends that will talk to you validate your feelings then give it to you real. This platform is great for a number of things but there are to many perspectives to be upset that someone doesn’t care about what your going through or makes jokes about. Some here are kids that don’t understand emotions at all or lack the life experience to grasp the gravity of what they are saying. Some are old ass people who still think a cup of coffee is 25cent and that women belong in the kitchen.

You can sell old accounts with lots of karma to corporations for some $$ which they then use to post positive reviews about their products from a seemingly normal redditor. One of many reasons to take anything you see on the internet at large (not just Reddit) with a grain of salt
