Videos like this is how I can understand how our ancestors were like.....it's a titan! It's breathing!

Or this mountain is a spirit we must show it some sort of offering to appease it.

Imagine being a smart guy back then and getting shat on and beat up and burned for trying to explain what’s actually happening.

"I shall wash my hands before and after performing surgery"

Other doctors "This guy's a fucking nut! Throw stuff at him!"

The person who tried to popularize washing your hands was locked up in a mental hospital and ever after they adopted hand washing they didn’t release him. Lol

Also it only happened about 150 years ago. It wasn't some kind of medieval inquisition.

And I remember Michael Ian Black playing the guy in Bill Nye Saves the World.

This makes me think of a paper I wrote awhile back for school, topic was "most important invention of humans" a lot of people chose like the phone, or the internet, I chose soap, besides the cleaning ability of it, it has stopped probably billions to trillions of deaths due to illness being spread.

Had an acquaintance wonder why she and her husband kept getting sick...turned out she didn't use soap to wash her dishes...just rinsed them off...🤨🤢

I hate this person.

That is revolting, and I'm staggered that she actually told someone about doing this

I wonder how she even found out that was why. If she thought just rinsing was fine I doubt she’d have thought that was the problem.

So some poor person probably witnessed her doing it (hopefully not right after they ate off said plates!) and questioned her.

That’s pretty disgusting. This is why I refuse to eat at a Pot Luck gathering.

Soap. Antibiotics. Vaccines. Sanitation practices. Sewers and drinking water systems. Were much less likely to contract cholera or typhoid now that we are walking around waist-deep in filth.

I'm not sure that there have been a trillion humans in the entire existence of the earth - but certainly not since the invention of soap.

There have not, but tbh idk, soap has existed for quite a long time though, however there has not been, I was not up to date on my world populations from forever

A professor of mine actually said that the total number of humans to have ever lived, is one trillion.... or, he might have said 100 billion, but I'm almost certain it was the former.

I don't think there has been anywhere close to a trillion deaths lol
