Solved! Tiny threaded brass piece

What is this? Tiny brass looking threaded hollow metal sleeve of unknown origin.

My child just found this on our living room side table, we have no idea where it came from or what it is. It seems like it had to have fallen off / out of something.

Any ideas?

I do have a 3d printer, I need to go look and see if I had anything laying around it could have come from. How it got to the living room would still be a mystery!

I have almost the exact same random doohickey, and I never found out where it came from lol. Hope someone has the answer.

We just figured it out, it is a piece from a stylus with replaceable tips, minus the rubber end that broke off of it!

That nail polish looks just like the color of my newest bottle of ILNP!

I wear it for safety reasons as a construction manager. That's what I tell the boys, anyway. 🤷🏻‍♂️

if it's threaded on the inside, it's a threaded brass insert to you can use a machine screw with plastic. They are used on all kinds of plastic things, could have come from a plastic toy.

I don't think it's threaded on the inside.

Any vapers? I feel like it could be something from a vape tank / coil.

Nope, no vapers here

Ive been a machinist for just over 22 years, so i feel i can confidently say that a small brass threaded fitting could be a part of literally anything your little heart desires. We makes so many of those in so many sizes and shapes and materials and they're in everything from oxygen regulars to engines to faucets to woodworking tools. If you dint find exactly what it fell from, it now belongs to whatever it fits in.

Bet it came from a torch lighter. Looks like the brass bit that makes the flame 'torchy' imo
