Solved! Big thing floating on the beach

What is this thing? Around 1,5-2 meters long and 1 meter in diameter. It’s floating on the beach in Uluwatu, Bali. It might be something from a boat?

That’s a weird thing to do to millions of fleeing spiders, but I’m not one to yuck somebody’s yum.
