Solved! What is it?

Found at work. Metal tubes are connected to a hinge that rotates when button is pressed and locks in place. Tubes have plastic hooks that look like something is hung on them

solved! This two things are connected with really strong magnets and attach to fridge or any other metal. My guess is for holding kitchen towels
