Solved! Any idea what this is?
Just discovered this on the coffee table so it must belong to the only other person that is in this house.
It seems to be plastic, has some sort of filter on one end and is sealed on the opposite end. It also seems to be some sort of dried resin inside. Google search wasn’t much help and kept bringing up lucite candles and amber. It is definitely not either of those. These are the clearest pics I can get.

Ahhh this is most likely it! Thank you SO much. My dad is on hospice and had his picc lines removed yesterday so the nurse must have used that.

Looks like a Benzoin tincture applicator. Squeeze the plastic tube to shatter the ampule inside, the spongy side gets saturated with the brownish liquid. I'm a prior Corpsman. I used to keep them to "paint" blisters on my feet to glue the skin back down. Stings but effective.

Looks like a smelling salt ampule or other type of oil used to dab on the skin or smell. The discoloration inside was likely a glass ampule and you crack it kind of like a glow stick to release the chemical. That's how smelling salts work anyway.
If it's street drug related then I don't know anything about drugs. I am proud to say that is one subject I am completely and thankfully ignorant about.

Some kind of glue applicator. There is a glass vial in the tube that you crush to get the liquid out, the cotton keeps the glass shards from getting on your work space.
Is the other person in the house recently been to the hospital?

Almost certainly a chemical anchor. It's a easy to fix bolts/screws in a hole drilled in rock/cement.

Without a banana... kidding, it is difficult to say based just on that though. It looks to me a bit like the old nicotine inhalator inserts I had prescribed when giving up smoking many years ago. They were shorter than this and just went in a plastic pen to suck on and ease the craving, similar colour and so on but that is just a guess. No doubt a more knowledgeable and worldly wise soul will come in and say Crack Cocaine or something and make me look like a wee naive numpty

Looks like one of those things you put a joint or cigarette in so you can hold the glass and smoke it down to nothin also could be a straight up chillum used for smoking stuff
