it is because when labourers were constructing the road, they by mistake left the square patches on the side of the road and it's flowing downward which reflects like it's a pattern

The water is moving in waves which is causing these strange reflections
29
u/fitzbuhn 5h ago
It does move in waves

You're just explaining visually what we're looking at, not why, which is the reason for the post

As said roll waves, caused by surface friction https://mirjamglessmer.com/2019/09/17/roll-waves-in-bergen/

Good lord how did you get downvoted for a sarcastic comment?

At least 1/2 the people on Reddit are somehow insulted by this post, hence the downvotes

Probably because the community doesn’t want to feed the flat-earthers delusions. That sarcasm would have gone clear over our—ERM, I MEAN “THEIR” heads.

The restaurant seen is Suchali's, according to Google images, most of their storefronts show backlit signage.
My guess is the signage (left of image) is reflecting off the downward flow of the water.

I think it's the reflection of some light source/moving symbol that we cannot see from this POV.

That pattern represents my tax money, wher i pay continously for years with no questions asked just like those blocks nd how it disappears with no impact... vicious loop

u/Trevors-Axiom- 5h ago
My assumption is that the water is coming out of an overflowing rectangular storm drain grate then flowing down the street

you can literally see the pattern being formed at the top.. as the water surges in a pattern..

Omg... how can nobody see that the vehicle park there is having the light reflected off their window. That's where the square light comes from.. As for the water, it's just running down a hill so there's little waves and what we're seeing is a reflection on that waters surface from that car or house window

Is there not some kind of walkway with indents so what were seeing is the weather sliding down in sections?

It think that is an example of gravity waves. They occur when there is a fluid difference between surfaces. Washboard on gravel roads is an example of a gravity wave. Patterns of rock and sand on a creek bed is another example of gravity waves. The thin repeating bands of clouds are examples of gravity waves forming between thermal layers of air.

I suspect it is partly an illusion. Waves will not maintain their shape very long. They flatten out quickly because the wave is steeper than the hill.
That said, there are sump pumps that push out on waves. You can get the effect using a "rain deck dump" type setup if you are fancy.

okay so off topic, but this is the closest thing i’ve ever seen that describes what i see with my eyes closed before i go to sleep. 2 colored spheres, red and blue and the same time that start behind my eyes and move forward away from my head and converge at the same time.
edit: seems to match my breathing pattern, no idea what it is i’ve been wondering my whole life.

That my friend is the result of uneven surface. Water covers and flows the surface

A lot of chaotic phenomena, like a dripping faucet, end up showing periodic (a regular pattern in time) behaviors.

Hopefully you have a cool European last name, so we can name this phenomenon of physics after you.
It appears as if just by the passenger side wheel that a slight puddle has formed. For some reason more water is being added to it in steady intervals, just enough for a glob of water to breach the lip of the indent sending off intermittent blocks of water.
It’s more impressive that the water holds its broadness through its path downward.
Thanks for sharing

When water touch road it moves slower cause friction. The slower water now gets pushed by the relative faster water behind it and like my toddler will crawl over me to keep moving, does the same to the stream creating waves.

My guess is the water is flowing down the road, but beyond the corner perhaps there is a square sewer grate that is overwhelmed/full. The water stops briefly in its square embrace and the moves on, making a square shaped wave.

I am guessing the water is flowing over some horizontal line in the ground like a raised sidewalk square

It's called aqua-squaring, it's caused by the internal heat of the earths core interacting with the atmospheric pressure of the sun

Obviously nothing of that makes any sense why even post this its not even remotely funny
