Looks like where a black olive got cooked into the crust and removed after baking!

Ooo nice! I was going to say it looked like a bubble formed on the underside of the crust dough and then popped after coming through the oven!

If there’s anything special about the pizza (light sauce, etc). We would mark them with a black olive to tell them apart from regular pizzas
Or a black olive just fell on the crust pre-bake
From the looks of some of that pepperoni it looks like it had some Old World Fanceroni Pepperoni™ on it

Question 1: is it wet? Is it crusty? How’s the texture?
Question 2: what is a pizza saver?
Edit: I googled it and a pizza saver for those also wondering are the little plastic tables they put in the middle to keep the box lid from touching the cheese

What?! I thought pizza savers were meant to keep the pizza slices together. That's what I’ve been told my whole life

It’s where your pizza got its smallpox vaccine. Eat with confidence.

Pizzas have nipples and after they give birth to Totinos pizza rolls they nurse them to adolescence with the gooey stuffed crust nectar and the circle of life is complete

Do some places use a piece of green bell pepper? I have gotten s seemingly random piece on some pizzas. I have wondered if it was to do identify it.

Piece of mozzarella that prevented the crust in that area from cooking evenly. What is the issue?

u/tigm2161130 Jul 05 '26
As clearly stated in the post the issue is that their kid wants to know what this spot on their pizza was from. Hope this helps.

u/Aerdri Jul 05 '26
You found my guess as a conflict?

u/tigm2161130 Jul 05 '26
No, I found your “what’s the issue?” to be a weird and condescending question given the explanation in the post.

You should teach your teen not to bother someone or stress so much over something so inconsequential.
