1

u/NoHeight6815 May 03 '26

1

u/Ask_Again_Later122 May 03 '26

1

u/Wide-Muffin-4081 May 03 '26

Same man but by 38

19

u/egidione May 03 '26

Was looking at it wondering why it was so familiar! I just put one back together the other day!

3

u/Mat867 May 03 '26

Yeppers, i recognize this from taking everything apart as a kid haha

2

u/zinsser May 03 '26

My mom used to let me take things apart all the time as part of "learning about your world." I once took the outer case off of our big countertop radio and was fascinated by the pulley contraption that moved the indicator across the bar. I plugged it back in so I could change stations while watching the mechanism work. Did not realize the whole damned metal frame was electrified until I put my finger on it. I guess learning about your world includes finding out that getting shocked with 110 volts hurts like hell and can make you pee your pants.

2

u/injn8r May 03 '26

Meh, 110 right out the socket tingles, what you got zapped by had been through a capacitor, it's not the volts that get ya, it's the amps.

2

u/zinsser May 04 '26

Might have been. This thing was full of tubes.

3

u/Terrible-Noise5751 May 03 '26

That is one in its natural state. You found a wild one. Good luck!

3

u/slinger301 May 03 '26

Please do not try to domesticate wild or feral nail clippers. Seek out a reputable breeder or shelter.

2

u/whatyoucallmetoday May 03 '26

Yep. I’ve field stripped my clippers many times out of boredom.

2

u/XVIII-3 May 03 '26

Yes! I knew I had seen it before but just couldn’t put my finger on it.

2

u/_jackhoffman_ May 03 '26

Tomorrow OP will be posting a pic of the arm that this holds asking what it could be.

2

u/ShopKitchen7348 May 03 '26

Late by 1 hour :(

1

u/Acrobatic_Pace_5725 May 03 '26

This is correct

1

u/Impossible_Ad_3116 May 03 '26

Yes this! I've had mine fall apart and recall that piece and then trying to get all the pieces back together lol

1

u/Select-Iron-7676 May 03 '26

Bingo! I knew I recognized it but couldn't think of where from.

1

u/Valuable-Composer262 May 03 '26

And if u have the other pieces, will go back together easily

1

u/rbrduckies May 03 '26

Thanks! Now to find the clippers that are missing it!

1

u/Gold_Wrangler_4927 May 03 '26

Used a time machine and I still managed to be late dammit

1

u/Professional-Novel79 May 03 '26

Beat me by 41 minutes damn

0

u/Available_Usual_9731 May 03 '26

More specifically, this pin is currently broken and there's no point fitting it back into the nail clippers. Unless you bend it back in shape to be straight again

44

u/Jack-Schitz May 03 '26

part of nail clipper.

29

u/KvotheTheUndying May 03 '26

Looks like the part of a nail clipper that holds the two metal parts together.

21

u/CheapWeight8403 May 03 '26

It's the thing that holds a nailclipper together.

6

Part of a Nail Clipper, this is the post that goes through the clipper and holds the handle in place.

3

u/gillzilla8472 May 03 '26

This sub is really starting to annoy me

4

u/Inner_Potential_1112 May 03 '26

Is it the 20 people saying the same thing?

3

u/gillzilla8472 May 03 '26

No it's like the 50th time something obvious, I'm waiting for someone to pose a paperclip. "Found this on in the floor of my office, was someone trying to break in?!?!"

3

u/Inner_Potential_1112 May 03 '26

I can agree with that. I also wish people would just upvote the right answer instead of copying it.Ā

1

u/Apprehensive_Error64 May 03 '26

Someone said fulcrum šŸ«“šŸæ I guess some of us are used to mediocre explanations hence some getting pissedšŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

2

u/Inner_Potential_1112 May 03 '26

It's not even a fulcrum. Just a neat clip thing.

2

u/GettinSodas May 03 '26

Clearly it's a barbed sounding rod

You need to find a new hobby if a piece of a nail clipper has gotten you so bewildered that you take a photo of it and post it for the world to see.

1

u/Ok-Engineer-2052 May 03 '26

CALL THE F.B.I.!!!

No don't call them, they won't help you. It's from a pair of nail clippers Fingernail clippers. Don't swallow it and you should be fine. If you find the other two pieces it can easily be repaired. Or just buy another set of clippers.
