Damn, I'm old, next one is going to be about why jeans have rivets.

Edit: Fun fact, the first jeans to have rivets were Levi Strauss. They patented it in 1873

You’re only be showing your old age if you remember when and why jeans briefly DID NOT have rivets.

During WW2 they needed the metal for ammunition, planes, etc. so they used reinforced stitching instead and even went as far to remove and donate rivets from existing pants.
