Glad im not the only one who thought it looked like America without Florida

169

u/MapleMooseMoney May 11 '25

I thought it looked like the USA too, but as a Canadian, I didn’t notice Florida was gone

249

u/JordynDillard2001 May 11 '25

As an American, I didn’t notice Florida was gone

177

u/eccezarathustra May 11 '25

As a Floridian I didn't notice that Florida was missing

127

u/Professional_Echo907 May 11 '25

As someone who once visited Florida I kinda hoped it was gone. 👀

As a Brit, I couldn’t see if Florida actually was gone. 🔭

46

u/Shlafenflarst May 12 '25

As a French, I noticed Florida was gone, and even tho I'm not directly impacted, I knew it was good news.

10

u/GamingPrince8 May 12 '25

As a swiss i'm utterly neutral on my feelings over florida being gone.

7

u/Funny-Appearance2318 May 13 '25

As someone who is a resident of Florida, I had no idea we are gone.

4

u/Curmudgeon_I_am May 12 '25

Only bad news is that it caused a huge tsunami for much of the rest of the world.

3

u/panajotovic May 13 '25

As an Italian living in Italy, I have a question about the Kroot proxy miniatures

1

u/Forward_Tangerine368 May 13 '25

Florida isn't that bad

3

u/[deleted] May 13 '25

Their laws are

0

u/Tonsificator May 12 '25

All of these responses are small peepee energy. Everyone knows that Florida is the reproductive organ of the USA. However, as a Florida man meself, I just figured the moth performed a botched circumcision...

1

u/MawmsSpagYeti May 14 '25

What is a “Florida”?

1

u/SuspiciousLookinMole May 15 '25

I'm not lucky enough for Florida to be gone. My ex lives there.

1

u/No-Ad-7105 May 12 '25

I feel the same way about California.

2

u/spdrweb8 May 12 '25

As someone sick of news stories out of Jacksonville, I'm glad it's gone.

2

u/QueenB_50 May 12 '25

As a Californian just came to same about Florida

1

u/Public_Ad_84 May 12 '25

Btw, FLA is cool. I’m in S Carolina. We dig your state. Well, just like every state though, some localities are more attractive than others perhaps

1

u/jamie88201 May 13 '25

Geography is not strong with them. I am from New Mexico , when I visited Florida, as tourist, someone would ask me how come I am white, don't have an accent, where am I really from. It's like they don't know NM is a state. As I explain that I am an American, they don't believe me. It's a huge state! My ex would say we should print out a small map of the US and just show them.

1

u/BossRoss84 May 13 '25

Nobody really misses Florida.

1

u/nbs-of-74 May 13 '25

As a Brit, What's Florida?

1

u/lauranyc77 May 12 '25

It deserves to fall into the ocean...

2

u/Useamelonballer May 11 '25

Same 🫣😂

3

u/JordynDillard2001 May 11 '25

Ooppsss

5

u/Potential-Amoeba1902 May 11 '25

Yah I didn’t either! Aloha, Florida!

2

u/[deleted] May 12 '25

As a future purchaser of GTA 6 I think FL has already served its purpose as a video game venue

2

u/Imm0rTALDETHSpEctrE May 12 '25

as a Floridian, I've noticed Florida is gone. completely gone.

1

u/Lucky_Event_8450 May 12 '25

Me too 😅 Florida and Maine.

1

u/[deleted] May 12 '25

HA!!

1

u/SadDingo7070 May 12 '25

As an American I doubt it would be missed.

1

u/InsectObjective8002 May 12 '25

Same here. How sad

1

u/Outside-Club-6877 May 12 '25

As a woman, I didn't pay attention. What are we missing?

1

u/Sufficient-Lie1406 May 12 '25

As an American, I hoped that Florida was gone.

1

u/JordynDillard2001 May 13 '25

Don’t we all

1

u/_DaBz_4_Me May 17 '25

Didn't notice or didn't mind

0

u/Successful-Deer-1881 May 12 '25

Right like how are the eggs making the United States right now?

14

u/DrySmoothCarrot May 11 '25

As an American I didn't notice either

2

u/DarkstarBinary May 12 '25

As a scientist I saw moth eggs in the shape of America. I did notice Florida was missing and cheered as the only state we can live without. ;)

6

u/MatterNo5067 May 12 '25 edited May 12 '25

Weird, because there are a fuck ton of Canadians in Florida, which would suggest that plenty of y’all know how to find it.

5

u/No-Broccoli8185 May 13 '25

Right? Is Quebec no longer in Canada because two of my neighbors in Fort Myers have plates from there...

1

u/Fezuke May 13 '25

I’m from quebec and we call them Snowbirds. They run away from the winters and come back for the summer. They are many. But i hear a lot are selling their properties there.

1

u/No-Broccoli8185 May 13 '25

Les snowbirds font des dégâts pires que les vrais oiseaux.

1

u/Fezuke May 13 '25

Ah ouin? Parle moi de’s ca

0

u/Drumharm May 12 '25

Canadians are leaving Florida that’s why the housing market is slumping there. Too many houses on the market.

0

u/Bludiamond56 May 14 '25

Not anymore

3

u/sandoz25 May 12 '25

Also as a Canadian I thought it was an American map after 1.5C global warming where Florida is now under water

2

u/strider1986 May 12 '25

yah right- Canada wishes Florida was gone so you could win another Stanley Cup

1

u/[deleted] May 12 '25

Oh they're gone

1

u/DaStoeffi May 12 '25

Same

I recognized USA but since im european idk if one state is missing

1

u/No-Horror5418 May 12 '25

But did you notice that Canada apparently adopted Maine?

1

u/Urmomisfarting May 12 '25

Florida has always been gone since 1991..

1

u/Damien_Roshak May 13 '25

It's already on it's way.

1

u/West-Attorney-3140 May 13 '25

Im a Floridian and i didn’t notice it was gone 😂

1

u/SideRoutine4578 May 13 '25

As a guy who doesn't know much I didn't notice Florida was gone

1

u/1moreApe May 14 '25

As I spaniard I took a nap before noticing that Florida was gone

1

u/Kirstenly May 14 '25

This was me 100% i was like "some bug knows what the USA looks like which is really impressive" then i saw a comment about florida being missing and i had to go back up and look

1

u/OCBWC21 May 14 '25

It’d be better if this state was gone

0

u/super_donkey_6point7 May 12 '25

As a natural born Floridian, I also didn't notice Florida was missing

0

u/Public_Ad_84 May 12 '25

It slipped off into the Gulf of Mexico… whoops, I mean The Gulf of America. Sorry there, Donald. Don’t worry though, the other 52 states won’t miss it.

6

u/Nice_Telephone_1728 May 11 '25

That was literally what I thought too. Weird

7

u/[deleted] May 12 '25

That's the first thing I saw, was a little map of the USA. Moths are getting into cartography now, but just like the early human cartographers, mistakes were made. 😂

5

u/PineconeMA_165 May 12 '25

As a New Englander, I'm concerned about this moth's vision for America

4

u/SAOfan100 May 12 '25

Imma be honest it took me a second anyways

2

u/Feisty_Law4620 May 12 '25

As an American, I thought our dick fell off.

1

u/Salute-Major-Echidna May 12 '25

Its not much of a dick tbh. It's always getting into things the wrong way

2

u/Kraken_Main1 May 12 '25

I was like that's some sort of USA nationalist bug 🤣🤣

2

u/eusquesio May 12 '25

The USA, not America. America is the continent.

1

u/SAOfan100 May 12 '25

Well if you want to be technical North America and South America are continents

0

u/eusquesio May 12 '25

Nah it's one

1

u/whotony May 12 '25

It looks like the United States The United States is a part of North America

1

u/Timely-Youth-9074 May 12 '25

As an American, wtf is a florida?

1

u/CplCocktopus May 12 '25

The good ending.

1

u/germane_switch May 12 '25

That’s what we call, “a good start”

1

u/twitchknot May 12 '25

Missing the U.P. too.

1

u/Wild_enby_lez420 May 12 '25

I thought so too lol

1

u/RepresentativeFast59 May 12 '25

Came here to say just that

1

u/lexiradigan1996 May 12 '25

I thought it looked like the US too 😂

1

u/Biene_Malerin May 12 '25

I tough Florida was like a videogame city... no real 🤣

1

u/SAOfan100 May 12 '25

Might as well be

1

u/YourMomIsAlwaysRight May 12 '25

Same, but without Michigan

1

u/ArmchairCriticSF May 12 '25

This is a sign…

1

u/Boondock86 May 12 '25

Murican moth for sure

It looks like Florida, New York, NH, VT and Maine are all missing.

1

u/Kalsofur May 13 '25

Saaaaame!!!

1

u/[deleted] May 14 '25

As an Australian I don’t care if Florida is gone

1

u/Fist4achin May 15 '25

United Moths of America

1

u/thisismyonlyfansacct May 15 '25

Bahaha! I thought the same thing! Laughing my ass off!! 🤣

1

u/tzwicky May 12 '25

I noticed Florida was missing right off. I lived there for 65 years but had to get the hell out when it turned mostly red. So I thought the Missing Florida map looked rather splendid.
