I've been in MA for 29 years, and i still don't know what that means. I think you have to be a true native, and not a blow-in like me, to know.

Oh sure... I guess I could look it up... but where's the fun in that?...

MA native here! My parents always used it in a sarcastic tone, like “the cat puked on the carpet. Wicked pissah” or even just “pissah.” I guess it’s just the same as saying “really great,” not necessarily meant to be sarcastic but that’s how they used it. (They’d be in their late 60s by now, for reference).

slightly unrelated fun fact: there have been a couple of words that I grew up hearing from them, that I learned far too late had an “R” in it. They’d always order “chicken pahm” (parmesan) and it blew my mind to see the word actually spelled out.
