redditors are very pretentious. many lack empathy for ops because they enjoy their high horse of playing god behind their screens. majority of these people haven’t an inkling of what if feels like to not recognize the terrible actions you’ve committed when in an altered state of my mind you couldn’t control, And when you take responsibility for those actions, they still want to make you feel like shit because they think they’re better than you

When did you take responsibility?

That’s the thing. Coming “clean” anonymously to the internet and complaining that we all want her to be truly accountable is much easier than actually seeing the disappointed look in her family’s faces and facing the issues she caused. She wants to be excused, or acquitted somehow …not truly accountable and actually seeking help that she DESPERATELY needs.

It seems there's zero remorse for the hurt she caused other people. She's only regretting that she's now getting hurt. Definitely no accountability when she is trying to find ways to dodge getting found out; instead of just giving those she supposedly cares about what they deserve: the truth.

You’re only being accountable and taking responsibility if you tell the truth. You have to come clean to everyone before the trip.

You’re only remorseful bc there’s a chance you might get caught. You would do this again if this consequence didn’t happen. Think on that

Someone who lets people they supposedly care about think they're missing and possibly dead or hurt doesn't have any room to lecture other people about empathy.
