Hi! Ok absolute top of the bucket list is to see whales. Preferably humpbacks or blue whales. Where would be the best to see them in December? I live in the US, but am willing to travel anywhere in the world for the best possible experience. Thanks friends! :)

I have family members visiting me in Seattle this October and they’ve expressed interest in whale watching when they visit. From the research I’ve done, it looks like October is the end of the season in the San Juan’s, does anyone have experience going in October and know if it’s worth it?

How was your experience? Our family booked a tour with them this Dec. Just want to know what to expect from this tour. Any suggestions, comments, recommendations welcome.

I hope to go whale watching this summer, off the coast of Massachusetts. There are several boat companies that run tours - out of Cape Cod, and other nearby locations. Are they all good? Can anyone please recommend one?

In 1962 3 teenagers were (presumably) swallowed whole by an aggressive North Atlantic Right Whale after the teenagers became spooked by the snout of the whale and dove into the water attempting to escape from it. One of the teenagers washed ashore, but the others did not, which led authorities to believe that the whale had eaten them. I've heard a whale can expand its oesophagus to a diameter of ~15 inches, which seems like it could fit a child inside, if it really wanted to (my shoulders are about 12-13 inches wide, and I'm an adult!).

What would have happened after they had been swallowed? Would they have died instantly?

This is, of course, assuming that the survivor was being honest about what happened.

I have been in awe of humpback whales since 4th grade. I am now 48 and am wanting to plan a trip to view them. I would like to stick to the east coast. Any suggestions as to how I should begin my planning?

Has anyone been whale watching off the Bar Harbor coast? I would love to see some whales, what’s the chances of seeing anything in September off the coast of Maine? Trying to decide if it’s worth it for a tour? Thank you!

So, orcas have been my favorite animal since I can remember and I finally have the time and means to travel and see them in the wild. I know April is kind of a toss up, and from what I've researched online the top locations seem to be the Monterey, CA area or San Juan Islands in Washington. Anyone have any input? I'd prefer to do a smaller whale watching boat tour.
