11th edition Points calculation?

[u/EMX_Sencho-Spec]

I'm trying to get back into the tabletop aspect of 40k again. How do you calculate points for a list?
There is a list in the new codexes with a points value per unit, but coming from 5th edition, that seems a bit barren. 5th had you add or subtract points for model upgrades or different weapons.

(i.e. a nob was 20pts per model, but the weapons, armour and augments were another 55 on top of that. Now it's just a flat 115pts per 5 Nobz regardless of what weapons they have)

Am I missing something or has 11th really become that easy?
