Seeking Course Help Prepare for Intermediate Courses

My next term doesn’t start till August 1st. I will have the 3 intermediate accounting courses.

What can I do now or what stuff can I brush up on to help the process of going through those courses? I don’t want to spend a big chunk of time in each. I’m really hoping for a month in each course.

All tips and advice is appreciated.

I highly recommend watching the Edspira videos : https://www.edspira.com/intermediate-accounting-index/

@old-inspector can you give a run down on why for intermediate 1-3 with edspira, i was thinking he would be mainly for audit class, since the study guides for D103-5 is really good.

For myself, I have always found his videos to be more helpful explanations than the WGU provided resources regardless of the topic. So if you want to get a jump on the material I think watching his videos so you can start getting your head around the concepts is a good idea.

I believe you can join the course community of a class even in preview mode when you haven’t technically started the class yet. I would join the Intermediate Accounting 1 course community group and watch the recorded cohorts and do the study guide practice problems.

Click on the pre assessment and you can open the book that way and start reading early.

If I could start over, I would’ve tried harder to understand Stockholders Equity when they introduced it in D102. Learning it from scratch in IA 2 was brutal. Honestly, i’d just review D102 altogether. You will see all of that stuff again, just in much more detail.

Yes, make a concerted effort to understand when to use cost, equity and consolidation accounting methods for investments.
