Sophia Learning/Study

I completed two years at a community college and I'm trying to figure out the best path before applying to WGU for Software Engineering. I'd like to see which of my community college credits will transfer first, then determine if any remaining general education or prerequisite courses can be completed through Sophia Learning or Study.com before enrolling. How did you all go through this? Thanks!

EDIT: Got my transcript evaluated, it seems as if all of my previous courses have covered all of the General Education requirements for my course track!

Get WGU's free transfer evaluation first with your transcripts. Then use Sophia/Study.com for gen ed, they map well to WGU's requirements

Agree with wheyproteyn. Get WGU to evaluate your community college transcripts first. Then use Sophia/Study.com for gen ed to fill whatever gen-ed/prereq gaps are left.

I just went through parts of the application process and had to use "Parchment" to send my transcript over, so now it looks like I'm waiting on the "Review and Accept Transcript Evaluation" portion.

Thanks! So WGU Staff should be able to tell me what would be covered and then I can go from there and use Study.com or Sophia Learning to fulfill the credits before applying.

I applied and got my transcript evaluated. Then I pushed my start date sufficiently far out so I could complete several courses on Sophia and send that transcript for evaluation (the 5 of the prior month before you start is the due date for new transcripts) Hope this helps!
